action plan 2 (pbl)

                                        ACTION PLAN 2

Note: had to rewrite are action plans because one of the action plans didn't work out.

On the 21st of November, we emailed the Ronald McDonald House asking about us coming and visiting the people which live there and ask what they want for Christmas. We got a reply but it wasn't exactly what we wanted. They said we weren't allowed to talk to the people that live there but on Thursday the 23rd of November we could go have a tour around the building and see what it is like there. Because we couldn't talk to them they sent us a wishlist of things that we can maybe get them, mostly gift cards for different things like petrol and prezzy cards. So on Thursday, we will be busing to the Ronald McDonald House via the Hospital for a tour at 11am.

                                    ACTION PLAN 1

note: had to rewrite are action plans because one of the action plans didn't work out.

In Action Plan one we had to talk to Mr Rogers (a teacher at our school) about doing the car wash. Which we wanted to host in the carpark of Hornby High School. After talking to him we decided to do the car wash on the field instead of in the car park. As we wash cars Hannah-Mae's group ( Hannah-Mae Blog) with be selling food and other things to fundraise for the children suffering from long-term illness at the Christchurch hospital. Leticia from my group emailed Mr Rogers on the 20th of November about the car wash he told us that we had to meet up with to talk to him. We also poted a Post on our community website about the price. It was $5 for a basic car wash, $10 for a carwash and tyres and it's $15 if you want carwash, tyres and windscreen. 25% of people said $5 car wash, 50% said $10 for a car wash and tyres, and then 25% of people said $15 for a carwash, tyres and windscreen. But then we had to change what we were doing so we are now doing it at Hornby Primary car park and Hannah-Mae's is going to do it at another time in a different place but it will still be from 12pm - 4pm on Saturday the 2nd of December.

Project Based Learning

At Hornby High School we are doing PBL ( Project Based Learning ) For the next 4 weeks my group the Maccapaccas  have decided to  fundrise and make kids smile at the Ronald McDonald house. I think it is a GOOD idea to do this topic because not much people really understand what half of the people go through at the Ronald Mcdonald house.

Our group the Maccapaccas have chosen to do the Ronald Mcdonald house because children and families our suffering because families need to find houses to stay in and children are facing cancer and other medical conditions. We would like to go visit them and have a movie night with them and play games/read books and we want to put huge smiles on their face and make them forget about what they are going through and just to have fun while it lasts.

sportsmen should not get paid to play sport

‘ Sportsmen should not get paid to play sport ’.

I think they shouldn't be getting paid to play sport if they're playing a sport they love they shouldn't be doing it out of money they should be doing it because they love it and if sportsmen should not be getting paid for sport then neither should sport woman. I think it's dumb if people have to pay for doing something they love. They should just let people play sport without paying for it. But i also think people who play sport should pay because if they dont they wont be able to get there sports gear or travel round the country to play at different places.

Examples:

In Macbeth by William Shakespeare, dialogue was used to show the state of  Macbeth’s mind.

For instance, the line “Is this a dagger I see before me?” demonstrates Macbeth questioning  his reality.
This technique reveals Macbeth’s character  by showing the audience that he has started to hallucinate and that his mind is playing tricks on him, or, alternatively, that the witches are having more influence on him than he realises.
Shakespeare did this to show the consequences of Macbeth’s guilty actions. As the play progresses, Macbeth’s mind becauses more troubled and Shakespeare uses Macbeth’s  dialogue, actions, and the conversations of other to reflect this.
This dialogue  can be juxtaposed with the feast when he has a visitation of Banquo’s ghost and says “Then comes my fit again: I had else been perfect”. This highlights, to some degree, the fact that Macbeth is conscious of his hallucinations. However, a characteristic of insanity is the insane person not knowing that are in fact insane and by the end of the play, Macbeth no longer knows what is real and what is imagined around him. This highlights the fact that guilt through murder and ‘unfettered’ ambition can affect the state of people's’ minds.

Planning
Gather and Order ideas:

johnny and the gang                                                                      stay golden ponyboy
When johnny was in hospital                                                       dally went and robbed a shop after johnny’s death
Johnny was the pets gang                                                            ponyboy didn't want to believe johnny died
The whole gang would be lost without him

Introduction:  S.E. Hinton put a lot of meaning into this story to teach us real life lessons and to make us be really interested in the book and to make us feel like we're in the book with her.

SEXXXY 1

When Johnny died the whole gang was lost without him because he was the gang’s pet.

Before Johnny died he told Ponyboy to “ stay golden Ponyboy “ then he died Dally runs out of the hospital, Ponyboy goes home feeling shocked and Dally wasn't at the house dally calls them and told them he robbed a shop the cops cornered him he pulls out a gun and the cops shoot him and he dies they were all shocked because they lost Johnny and Dally.

And ponyboy didn't want to believe that Johnny was dead so he started saying that he was the one who killed the kid and that Johnny was still alive.

This showed me that the whole gang especially Dally cared about him because he was the gang's pet and that they can't find another gang's pet like Johnny.

I think that the author showed us this because it is hard losing someone so close to you and you don't want to let them go but you're there always gonna be in your heart no matter what and you have to let them go at some stage.
This reminds me of when Dally dies the whole gang doesn't want to let him go either it destroys the whole gang/family inside and you can see it.
SEXXXY 2

Another one  was when Darry slapped Ponyboy.

Darry was getting annoyed with Ponyboy so he slapped him across the face then Ponyboy ran away with Johnny
When Ponyboy was at the hospital Darry apologised.

This showed me that Darry never meant to hit ponyboy and that darry does care about Ponyboy and he wants to keep his family together not drive them away.

I think that the author showed us this because your big sister or brother does love you and they don't mean the things they do to hurt you they just want you to be safe and sound.

SEXXXY 3

When the church burnt down and Johnny and Ponyboy were helping the little kids escape.

Johnny must of throughout a smoke in the church and the church caught on fire and there was kids inside the burning church so Johnny and Ponyboy ran inside the church and started dropping kids out the nearest window then Johnny threw Ponyboy out the window and the burning roof fell on top of Johnny.

It showed me that Ponyboy and Johnny felt bad that they threw the smoke out in the church because they could of killed more people and would of been getting in a lot of trouble.

The purpose of this was to show us that

SEXXXY 4

Conclusion:     i guess all of this shows us that no matter how many mistakes families make they will always stick together and they will always love you for the stupid little mistakes you make.
